Brian Schimming

Brian Schimming is a longtime public presence at the local and state level as well as in Washington, D.C

Brian has served three Republican governors including as a member of Governor Tommy G. Thompson’s cabinet. His most recent role began when he was named by Governor Scott Walker as chief operating officer of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority.

His political participation stretches to literally every part of Wisconsin. He served as state vice chair of the Republican Party under Reince Priebus and Brad Courtney, often as party spokesman during the Act 10 demonstrations at the Capitol.

In addition to hosting talk radio shows on WIBA in Madison and WISN in Milwaukee, he has appeared hundreds of times on local, state and national media including FOX News, the Wall Street Journal, CBS, the BBC, the Sean Hannity Show and NPR.

Madison’s liberal Isthmus Magazine warned, “Liberals beware: All Brian Schimming touches turns conservative.”

A resident of Fitchburg, Brian volunteers for the Salvation Army of Dane County as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for Taliesin Preservation.
